Act of Consecration of the Human Race to the Sacred Heart of Jesus

Most Sweet Jesus, Redeemer of the Human race, look down upon us humbly prostrate before Thine altar. We are Thine, and Thine we wish to be; but to be more surely united to Thee, behold each one of us freely consecrates ourselves today to Thy Most Sacred Heart.

Many indeed have never known Thee; Many too, despising Thy precepts, have rejected Thee. Have mercy on them all, most merciful Jesus, and draw them to Thy Sacred Heart.

Be Thou King, O Lord, not only of the faithful children, who have never forsaken Thee, but also of the prodigal children, who have abandoned Thee; Grant that they may quickly return to their Father´s house lest they die of wretchedness and hunger.

Be Thou King of those who are deceived by erroneous opinions, or whom discord keeps aloof, and call them back to the harbor of truth and unity of faith, so that there may be but one flock and one shepherd.

Be Thou King of all those who are still involved in the darkness of idolatry or of Islamism, and refuse not to draw them into the light and kingdom of God. Turn Thine eyes of mercy towards the children of the race, once Thy chosen people: of old they called upon themselves the Blood of the Savior; may it now descend upon them a laver of redemption and of life.

Grant, O Lord, to Thy Church the assurance of freedom and immunity form harm; give peace and order to all nations, and make the earth resound from pole to pole with one cry; praise to the Divine Heart that wrought our salvation; To it be glory and honor forever. R. Amen.

The Litany of Humility

Cardinal Merry del Val wrote this Litany so people could obtain the grace of a Christ-like humility. Merry del Val was very anti modernist and friend of St. Pius X.

O Jesus, meek and humble of heart,
Hear me.

From the desire of being esteemed
Deliver me, O Jesus

From the desire of being loved,
Deliver me, O Jesus

From the desire of being extolled
Deliver me, O Jesus

From the desire of being honored
Deliver me, O Jesus

From the desire of being praised
Deliver me, O Jesus

From the desire of being preferred to others
Deliver me, O Jesus

From the desire of being consulted
Deliver me, O Jesus

From the desire of being approved
Deliver me, O Jesus

From the fear of being humiliated
Deliver me, O Jesus

From the fear of being despised
Deliver me, O Jesus

From the fear of suffering rebukes
Deliver me, O Jesus

From the fear of being calumniated
Deliver me, O Jesus

From the fear of being forgotten
Deliver me, O Jesus

From the fear of being ridiculed
Deliver me, O Jesus

From the fear of being wronged
Deliver me, O Jesus

From the fear of being suspected
Deliver me, O Jesus

That others may be loved more than I
Jesus, grant me the grace to desire it

That others may be esteemed more than I
Jesus, grant me the grace to desire it

That, in the opinion of the world, others may increase and i may decrease
Jesus, grant me the grace to desire it

That others may be chosen and I set aside
Jesus, grant me the grace to desire it

That others may be praised and i go unnoticed
Jesus, grant me the grace to desire it

That others may be preferred to me in everything
Jesus, grant me the grace to desire it

That others may become holier than I, provided that I may become as holy as i should.
Jesus, grant me the grace to desire it.
